Thailand imposes AD duties on hot rolled flat steel from Turkey, Iran & Brazil

Thailand has announced antidumping duties on hot rolled flat steel products imports from Brazil, Iran & Turkey.

According to the notice from Department of Foreign Trade, anti-dumping investigation was launch after domestic producers, including Sahaviriya Steel Industries, G Steel Public Company Ltd, GJ Steel Public Company Ltd, Sahaviriya Plate Mill Public Company Ltd and LPN Plate Mill Public Company Ltd, filed an application against imports of hot rolled steel imports from Brazil, Iran & Turkey.

Department found material injury to domestic producers and has imposed antidumping duties on three countries as per below:

1) Brazil: 34.4 pct
2) Turkey: Colakoglu Metalurji: 6.88pct, Erdemir: 27.27pct, Others: 38.23pct
3) Iran: Mobarakeh Steel: 7.25pct, Others: 38.27 pct

The period of investigation was from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2015 for dumping and for injury purpose Department investigates the period of January 1 2012 till December 31, 2015.

The scope of product, subject to antidumping duties, is carbon steel hot rolled coils and sheets, thickness of 0.9 mm to 100 mm and a width of 100 mm to 3,200 mm.
