Vietnam Steel Association to strict conduct on imports of steel products

The Vietnam Iron and Steel Association (VSA) has called for a high incidence of steel import fraud, and the government should maintain a series of steel quality and management controls, especially for imported steel, to support the local steel industry.

The Vietnamese Ministry of Trade and Industry (MOIT) claimed that this year planned to cancel the 17 areas of administrative procedures, including the steel sectors to ease the demand for steel industry.

In particular, the association pointed out that the imports of steel from China, such as alloy steel, with zero tariff, which caused damage into domestic industry.
