The US International Trade Commission has found preliminary evidence of injury in its dumping and subsidy investigation of carbon and alloy threaded rod from China, India, Taiwan, and Thailand, Kallanish reports.
The injury determination allows the US Department of Commerce to continue its investigation, which began 15 March at the behest of Alabama’s Vulcan Threaded Products.
The department alleges dumping margins of 57.36-59.45% for China; 25.43-28.34% for India; 32.26% for Taiwan; and 20.83% for Thailand. China is further alleged to have 21 active subsidy programs, while India is alleged to have 52.
The department will make its preliminary dumping margin determinations by 31 July and subsidy determinations by 17 May.
