Japan’s crude steel output is forecast to rise 0.9% in July-September from a year earlier to 25.89 million tonnes, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) said.
Demand for steel products, including those for exports, is forecast to rise 0.8% to 23.01 million tonnes in July-September compared with a year earlier, the ministry said, citing an industry survey.
Exports are forecast to grow 1.7%, the ministry said.
