India conducts HR stainless flats anti-dumping sunset review

India has initiated a sunset review into anti-dumping duties imposed in 2015 on some 304 grade hot rolled stainless flat steel imports from China, Malaysia and South Korea. This follows a joint review petition for continued duty imposition from Jindal Stainless (Hisar) Limited and Jindal Stainless Limited.

The review will cover 304 grade HR stainless flat steel in thicknesses of 1.2-10.5mm for coils and 3-105mm for plates and sheets, and for all widths up to 1,650mm. These products are classified under HS chapter subheading 7219 and 7220.

The period of investigation (POI) for the present investigation is April 2018-March 2019, and the injury investigation period is from 2015-2016, 2016-2017, 2017-2018 and the POI.

Earlier this year India initiated a separate anti-dumping investigation into flat rolled stainless steel imports from China, South Korea, the EU, Japan, the US and ten other countries. This probe excludes the products covered by the latest sunset review (see Kallanish passim).
