Steel prices decrease further in Vietnam

It is reported by Vietnam News Agency that the steel price in Vietnam has dropped to 16.5 million dong/ton to 17 million dong/ton because of the weak demand, which has dropped by 50 percent.

The price of ingot steel also has dropped by US$200/ton to US$750/ton.

In the previous months, because the consumption was strong, the steel prices had a gap of 1.5million dong/ton to 2 million dong/ton higher than prices from mills. Besides, the consumption has decreased sharply compared with previous months, so the gap is only 500,000 dong/ton.

And in the same time, the enterprises have to face pressure of large stock.
