China's steel exports up by 50.2% in September
China's steel exports totaled 6.67 million tons in September, reduced by 1.01 million tons from last month but increased by 50.2 percent as compared with the same period of last year.
The total steel exports from January to September reached 48.5 million tons, down by 2.1 percent year on year.
Besides, China imported 1.27 million tons of steel products in September. And the total import of steel products in the first 9 months was at 12.32 million tons. In September, China' import and export of steel billet was 20,000 tons and 210,000 tons respectively. The import of iron ore was 39.20 million tons, up by 1.80 million tons from August.
