Tokyo Steel reduced payment for scrap purchase
Tokyo Steel has lessened the amount it used to pay for local scrap (ferrous) by 2 to 3 thousand Japanese Yen per tonne. This change is applicable from October 21. Price reduction of 2 thousand Yen applies to all arrivals at their Okayama, Kyushu and Takamatsu facilities, and that of 3 thousand Yen applies to arrivals at Utsunomiya facility. New prices of 2HMS are JPY20,000/tonne for arrivals at Okayama, JPY18,000/tonne for Takamatsu and JPY19,000/tonne for arrivals at Utsunomiya facilities.
