CISA suggests adjusting steel export policies

Recently China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) requested the government to adjust the export policy for steel product, and to encourage the export of high value-added steel.

Along with the recession, Chinese steel mills have to reduce or cease their production; China’s Commerce Department has dispatched some persons to investigate the injuries incurred.

Due to the export orders decreasing a lot during the fourth quarter and the first quarter of next year, China’s government is considering making some adjustment, while 10 percent of total production for exporting is seen as a proper rate.
