Taiwan's pipe with particular thickness in shortage

Because of some particular thickness shortage in cold roll and hot roll steel coil, some pipes with particular sizes are also not completed in Taiwan’s domestic market.

 

Some domestic buyers from Taiwan said that both large and small size pipes have faced a shortage situation. The situation is very serious for large outside diameter pipe with a thickness of 6 mm.

 

Some pipe distributors said that not only the market has been affected by a serious situation in sizes shortage, but that there are also serious delay shipment problems. Some pipe manufacturers said that the order quantity is still not high enough for them to restart their production line; therefore, they may only restart their production after the middle of February.

 

Therefore, prices for particular size pipe have risen and are expected to soar even higher when the demand comes back.
