China decide to raise steel export rebate from April

It’s reported that in China's State Council executive meeting yesterday on March 25, a decision is made to raise export rebate for some of textile, light-industry, steel, non-ferrous, petro-chemical and electronic products, aiming at boosting export and dealing with world financial crisis.

Just as previously expected by the market, some high value-added products, such as cold rolled sheet, galvanized and alloy steel will enjoy 17 percent export rebate from earlier 5 percent.

While rebate for hot rolled sheet/coil that with serious overcapacity in China will also be increased from zero to 13 percent.
