Japan plans to increase crude steel in Q2

Japan is predicted to produce 18.29 million tons of crude steel in the second quarter this year, a 4 percent up compared to last quarter, while the predicted demand in the second quarter was 17.83 million tons. The volume in the same period of last year was 31.06 million tons.

 

Japan plans to produce 12.89 million tons of normal steel in the second quarter, a 1.1 percent drop compared to last quarter; 688,000 tons H-beam, a 12.9 percent up compared to last quarter; 2.07 million tons small rod product, a 7 percent up compared to last quarter and 2.73 million tons special steel, a 4.7 percent up compared to last quarter.
