Taiwan's pipe prices to rise

Taiwan’s market participants said they believed that the pipe price in June will rise by NT$2,000/ton due to a shortage of material and Chung Hung Steel having raised their price for raw material.

In fact, some pipe mills have already increased the price by NT$1,000/ton in the middle of the month, to compensate for the higher cost of raw material.

This is also the first time that pipe mills have increased prices since September of last year.

It is expected that China Steel Corp. will once again hike its CR and HR prices in June, and the pipe prices will be increasing accordingly.
