Scrap import prices continue to soar in Asia

It is reported that Korean steel mills’ purchasing prices of American H1 scarp have been over US$300/ton in line with increase of Eastern Asian scarp import market.

 

American quoted US$330/ton for shredded scarp to China last week. Meanwhile, America forecasts that the scarp market of July will consecutively enhance, the demand will lift but the supply will drop.

 

Moreover, the main steel enterprises announced that they will raise the steel prices of July-August.
