Vietnamese steel prices have increased sharply due to increase of cost and steel demand.
According to the Vietnam Steel Association (VSA), the recent domestic rebar price is around US$690/ton which is US$35/ton higher than import price from
Besides, VSA requests the government to strictly inspect some steels which enjoy preferential customs duties, otherwise, Vietnamese domestic market will be less competitive if the steel price continued to soar.
