China auto maker Beiqi Foton ups `09 sales goal to 560,000 units

Chinese leading commercial vehicle manufacturer Beiqi Foton (SSE:600166) has decided to raise its 2009 annual sales goal from 420,000 units to 560,000 units.

 

During the first half of this year, Beiqi Foton's sales jumped 14.5 per cent from a year earlier to 287,000 units, ranking first among Chinese commercial vehicle producers.

 

Foton MP-X and Midi registered a 126 per cent sales growth in the same period, while Foton View light-duty van sales surged 30 per cent.
