Steel price increases by 400,000 dong per tonne

Vietnam Steel Association (VSA) announced that many steel enterprises have increased the construction steel price by 400,000 dong per tonne on July 20.

In details, Vietnam Steel Corp, Pomina Steel Co and Vina Kyoei Steel Co increased the sales price by 300,000-400,000 dong per tonne. Previously, Vietnam Steel Corp had increased the sales price for construction steel in southern markets by 30,000 dong per tonne for rolled steel and 180,000 dong per tonne for steel bar.

Vietnam-Italy Steel Co also informed to raise the sales price for all types of products by 300,000 dong per tonne.

The main reason for this increase is high prices of raw materials. In addition, the electricity charges, oil price and US dollar rising fluctuations also caused effects on the steel price.
