Car sales up 31 percent in Aug (Vietnam)

Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (Vama) reported August's car sales grew by 31 percent to 10,555 units including 3,520 tourism cars, rising 50 percent, 4,740 commercial cars, up 41 percent compared with July.

 

Meanwhile, the sales of SUV/MPV car model dipped 2 percent month on month to 2,287 units.

 

In the first eight months, 16 members of Vama sold over 69,300 cars, falling 19 percent against 2008.
