Due to strong demand from local shipbuilding industries, Korean heavy plate makers, Posco and Dongkuk Steel, have increased their output.
Even though they raised output, their supply cannot meet increasing demand from local shipbuilding industries.
It’s said that shortage of steel heavy plate maybe last until the first quarter of 2010.
