JSW Steel Raises Prices of All Products by 2% on Excise Increase

JSW Steel Ltd., India’s third- largest producer, raised prices of all products by 2 percent following an increase in excise duty, Jayant Acharya, executive director for marketing and sales, said today in an interview. Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, presenting the annual budget to parliament on Feb. 26, raised the excise tax on almost all products to 10 percent from 8 percent.
