Electricity, water systems deal signed (Vietnam)

EVN Hanoi, a subsidiary of the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN), and the Vietnam Water Supply Ltd Co, a subsidiary of construction giant Vinaconex, signed agreements worth 95 billion dong (US$5.1 million) with the An Khanh joint venture last Friday to construct electricity and water systems for the Splendora Urban Area.

 

Under the deal, EVN Hanoi will build the An Khanh 110/220KV transformer station to supply electricity, completing the project in early 2012, while the Water Supply Co will provide an 1,500cu.m system, providing clean water to the community from the Da River.

 

An Khanh is a joint venture between Vinaconex and the Korean construction company POSCO E&C. Covering an area of 264.13ha on the Lang Hoa l.ac Highway west of Hanoi, the $2.57 billion project Splendora New Urban Area is expected to become one of the most modern in the country.
