Taiwan’s rebar export price soars

Taiwan’s rebar export has reached 50,000 tons and its current export price has been lifted to US$670/ton.

Overseas buyers are taking a wait and see attitude recently because of the high price. However, steel mills remain optimistic about future market because global resource is limited and Asian plate billet price has gone up to US$700/ton.

Taiwan’s rebar are mainly sold to Hong Kong, Macao, Singapore and some to Korea. Taiwan’s domestic rebar price consecutively moves upward due to a great quantity of export orders of rebar and billet.
