It’s reported that wire billet imports from Brazil are getting tight due to flood disaster in Brazil.
The latest price of wire billet imports from Brazil has increase to US$700/ton, and predicted to go up further.
The current rimmed steel wire rod is quoted at NT$24,000/ton, increasing by NT$1,500/ton compared with that one and half month ago.
