Economic development focuses on 12 sectors

Coordinating Minister for the Economy Hatta Rajasa said on Saturday 12 sectors would top the government's economic development priority in the coming four years.

Speaking at a seminar on "Sustainable Business Competitiveness: The Next Challenge", Hatta said the government was focusing on the 12 sectors in a bid to push growth and competitiveness of the country’s products in international level.

The sectors in question were improvement in export, investment, optimization of government expense, industrial improvement, agriculture improvement, testier sector development, monetary stability, sustainable budget, job opportunity, poverty reduction, and small and medium enterprise development.

The seminar was organized by the Bogor Institute of Agriculture (IPB) post graduate program on business and management in Jakarta on Saturday, Antara reported.

Indonesia’s economic growth has been set at 5 percent this year and 7 percent by the end of 2014.
