Vietnam's export to Russia soars

Till the end of April, Vietnam-Russia two-way trade reached nearly $500 million, up 3.6 percent against the same period of last year, according to the statistic from general Department of Vietnam Customs.

 

Of which, Vietnam's import spending from Russian market was $338 million, down 9.8 percent year-on-year and accounting for 1.4 percent of the country's total import spending. Meanwhile, Vietnam's total export turnover to Russian market reached $163 million in Jan-Apr, rising over 50 percent year-on-year and accounting for 0.8 percent of the country's total export turnover.

 

Totally in Jan-Apr, Russia is Vietnam's 20th biggest trade partners.

 

Vietnam mainly imported steel billet with 35 percent of the country's total steel billet import spending from other markets.
