The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has declared to levy a provisional antidumping duty on companies who exported steel nails from United Arab Emirates. It’s known that Mid Continent Nail Corporation request the DOC to investigate in the case in March this year.
The US DOC determined to impose 27.73%, 19.23% and 61.54% of margin to Dubai Wire FZE, Precision Fasteners LLC and Tech Fast International LLC. In addition, the antidumping duties margin on all other UAE steel nail producers was at 23.48%.
The investigation covers the steel nails with length of up to 12 inches and varieties of finishes, heads, shanks, points and sizes. The Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) a 7317.00.55, 7317.00.65 and 7317.00.75.
Meanwhile, the US DOC planned to make the final determination by March of 2012.
