Steel price report as of November 25, 2011

Scrap

-          US ferrous scrap export prices up by $20 per gross ton ¨C source: MB

-          Ferrous scrap index CFR Iskenderun rose to $412.63 per tonne on an HMS 1&2 (80:20) ¨C source: MB

-          Ferrous scrap offer into SE Asia may have bottomed out. Offers for HMS 1&2 (80:20 mix) in containers from Europe, USA and Africa are $400-420 per tonne CFR ¨C source: MB

-          Japanese H2 scrap price in Kanto, Central and Kansai region was £¤24,151 per tonne in the third week of November, increased by £¤55 per tonne from a week earlier ¨C source: Yieh

Semis

-          In Hebei province?ˉs Tangshan city, ex-work price for 150x150 mm Q235 billet from major mills dropped by $5 to $597 per tonne, with 17% VAT on a cash-payment basis ¨C soruce: SBB

-          LME billet price up. The official three-month billet up to $523-533 per tonne ¨C source: MB

Bar

-          Rebar offer prices from China and Japan increased. New rebar offers from China at $670-675 per tonne CFR to Korea. Recent export offer prices from Japan up to $12-19 per tonne to $672-685 per tonne for base sizes ¨C source: SBB

-          Turkish mills increased its round bar prices by $21.4 to $758 per tonne exw including 18% VAT ¨C source: SBB

-          China Steel Corp. (CSC) announced to cut the list prices of steel wire and bar by NT$2,000 per tonne to NT$26,800 per tonne for next January/February ¨C source: Yieh

HRC

-          Chinese domestic HRC price declined slightly. Offer of Q235 5.5 mm HRC dropped by RMB 10-20 ($1.6-3) per tonne in Guangdong to $661-666 with 17% VAT ¨C source: SBB
