According to statistics, Japan exported 951,563 tons of hot rolled (HR) strip in November, 2011, decreased by 7.87% month on month and dropped by 12% year on year.
Among them, 245,811 tons were exported to South Korea, rose by 7.6% month on month while dropped by 35.7% year on year; 129,756 tons were to China, increased by 8.4% month on month while dipped by 12.3% year on year.
In addition, the country’s exports of HR strip totaled 11.85 million tons in the first eleven months of 2011, declined by 3.4% in comparison of that in the same period of a year earlier.
In the January-November period, South Korea imported 3.7 million tons of HR strip from Japan, down by 25%; China imported 1.4 million tons of HR strip from Japan, remained flat and India imported 381,777 tons of HR strip from Japan, surged by 43.64%; all compared to that in the same period of a year earlier.
