- China’s Jiangsu, major scrap buyer, cut its buying prices by RMB100 per tonne ($16). Wuhan I&S reduced its scrap prices by RMB 30-50 per tonne. Market prices for heaving melting scrap (>6mm) at RMB 3,350-3,400 per tonne ($532-540) with 17% VAT – source: SBB
