Scrap

-          A 40,000 tonne cargo of HMS 1&2 (80:20), shredded and P&S from US at $440 per tonne, $445 per tonne and $450 per tonnne CFR, respectively in northeast Turkey – source: MB

Semis

-          Billet ex-work prices for 150x150 mm Q235 from major mills in Hebei province’s Tangshan City rose RMB 10 to RMB 3,690 per tonne on a cash-payment basis with 17% VAT – source: SBB

-          The three-month contract official billet price unchanged at $515-525 per tonne – source: MB

Bar

-          Offer of 18-25 mm diameter HRB335 rebar from Hebei I&S (Hegang) rose to $643-647 per tonne with 17% VAT, up $3-5 per tonne from pre-holiday levels in spot market – source: SBB

-          Russian steel mills plan to lift local rebar prices by $10 per tonne for February. The current ex-work price is $640-690 per tonne – source: Yieh

HRC

-          Some tier-one Chinese mills offered price of 3mm thick and above boron-added SS400 commercial grade HRC at $635 per tonne FOB (equivalent to $670 per tonne CFR India) – source: SBB
