Reportedly, China Steel Corp. (CSC), the largest carbon steelmaker in Taiwan announced to cut the list prices of electric furnace (EF) Al-killed wire rod by NT$1,000/ton for July, impacting the Taiwanese wire rod market.
After the adjustment, CSC’s July list prices of EF Al-killed wire rod are at NT$24,000/ton and the actual selling prices are at NT$23,000~NT$23,200/ton.
Industry sources indicated that since CSC’s EF Al-killed wire rod played an important role in the Taiwanese market, it’s been seen the wire rod transaction prices would decrease in the Taiwanese market after CSC’s price cut.
