Reportedly, Japanese Kobe Steel planned to expand its processing capacity for special steel products in Thailand, driven by good performance of Thailand’s auto sectors and the foreseen prospect.
The Kobe CH Wire (Thailand), a subsidiary of Kobe Steel will add a new short time cycle annealing furnace to increase cold heading quality wire capacity.
The firm planned to put the new furnace into operation in Spring, 2013 and increase the monthly production capacity to 4,500 tons p from the current 3,600 tons.
