Scrap

-          US domestic shredded scrap was $331 per long ton, up by $2 per long ton – source: SBB

Semis

-          Billet prices in northern China dropped again. In Hebei, ex-works prices for 150x150mm Q235 billet dropped by $10 per tonne ($2) to RMB 3,450 per tonne ($541), with 17% VAT – source: SBB

Bar

-          The Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) January rebar contract closed at RMB 3,652 ($570) per tonne, falling 3.6% - source: Reuters

-          China Steel Corp (CSC) in Taiwan cut its bar prices by HTD 1,300 per tonne for September – source: Yieh

HRC

-          HRC imports to Southeast Asia fell by $5-10 per tonne. Chinese 3-12 mm thickness SS400B HRC at $580-585 per tonne CFR in Vietnam – source: SBB

-          Chinese HRC prices fell to RMB 3,880-3,920 ($60-615) per tonne with VAT in Lecong and RMB 3,750-3,800 per tonne in Shanghai – source: SBB
