It's reported that Thailand's Ministry of Commerce announced on August 17th to start the anti-dumping (AD) investigation against imports of carbon steel and stainless steel cold rolled coil products, as well as a review of the existing AD duties imposed on South Korean imports of hot rolled coil products, which is expected to take a year to complete.
Japanese-owned cold-rolled mill in Thailand, Nippon Steel Siam United Steel Company arose the AD issue on carbon steel cold rolled coil imports from China, Taiwan and Vietnam, claiming respective dumping margin of 11.76%, 8.76% and 11.86%, involving customs codes of 7209,7211 and 7225.
At the same time, the Tylenol steel company prosecuted to the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand claiming the dumping practices of stainless steel cold rolled coils imports from China of stainless steel cold presence of Ad practices, with dumping margin of 33.32% and involving customs codes 7219.
The investigation period of above two cases is both from July 2011 to June 2012.
