China Steel Prices

Flat

-          Eastern China’s Shagang announced its October list prices on 29 September, raising hot rolled coil prices by RMB 150/tonne ($24/t) – source: SBB

Long

-          Eastern China’s Shagang announced its October list prices on 29 September, raising rebar by RMB 50/t and wire rod by RMB 100/t – source: SBB

 

Steel Prices in other countries

Scrap

-          UK’s 5C feed remained at £130-135 ($211-219) per tonne delivered, unchanged from last week’s levels – source: MB

-          Scrap export prices of the Japanese H2 scraps to Taiwan have decreased to US$350/ton C&F last week – source: Yieh

Semis

-          Several traders were offering CIS-origin billet at $505/tonne fob Black Sea – source: SBB
