It's reported that on October 10, 2012, the EU stated that it has cut antidumping (AD) duty on Chinese-made screws and bolts according to WTO's ruling on miscalculation levied on earlier.

In 2009, EU imposed anti-dumping duties ranging from 26.5% to 85% on screws and bolts imported from China, which are widely used in the automotive, white goods and mechanical devices, involving more than 200 Chinese enterprises. In 2007, imports of the product concerned in the EU amounted to 575 million euros (about US$742 million).

On July 31, 2009, China reported the case to WTO dispute settlement mechanism. By July 15, 2011, WTO made the final ruling in favor of China. According to the ruling, the EU has cut AD duties to the range of 22.9% to 74.1%.
