BlueScope welcomes AD reforms

Australian Federal Government has announced the anti-dumping reforms today.

Mr. Paul O'Malley, the CEO of BlueScope CEO said that they have suffered the unfair competition and the estimated lost was up to US$100 million in the last financial year.

Dumping has weakened investment in domestic manufacturing and costs jobs. They will keep monitoring imports.

These reforms were compliant to World Trade Organization rules and Australia's anti-dumping system if manufacturers overseas remained dumping actions, the penalties will be higher and long-lasting.

The confirmed dumping and material inquiry origin countries involves Korea, Taiwan, Japan and Malaysia.
