According to figures from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, China's auto sales rose 46.38% YoY or 12.41% MoM to 2.03 million units in January this year, due to strong demand.
The sales of passenger cars jumped 48.68% YoY or 17.95% MoM to 1.73 million units in January. The sales of commercial vehicles increased 34.75% YoY to 343,300 units.
The country's auto output last month was1.96 million units, up 51.17% from the same period of last year or 10.06% from December.
In 2012, China's auto sales climbed 4.33% YoY to 19.31 million units.
