Steel price report as of February 15, 2013

Scrap

-          The export offer prices for Japanese H2 grade scrap to Korean steelmakers rose sharply to ￥35,000/metric ton ($373/mt) FOB this week – source: SBB

Semis

-          The company’s billet and bloom prices remain unchanged at $532-547/mt ex-works and $650/mt ex-works respectively – source: SBB

Bar

-          Domestic Southern European rebar prices fell to €480-505 per tonne delivered for February production, down from €485-510 per tonne in the previous week – source: MB

-          In the north Europe, domestic rebar prices dropped to €515-530 per tonne delivered for February rolling, compared with €520-535 per tonne last week – source: MB

HRC/P

-          Russian steel producer Severstal’s hot rolled coil (HRC) offer prices to Turkey have increased this week by $30-35 per tonne for April production – source: MB

-          Export prices for hot rolled coil from India have increased by at least $10 per tonne to sit at $620-625 per tonne fob on Wednesday February 13 – source: MB
