China’s Steel prices
Long steel prices
- An eastern Chinese mill suggested that bids from buyers in Singapore
had not changed much from the previous week, remaining at about $490-495/mt CFR

Flat steel prices
- Commercial-grade
hot rolled coil (4.5-12mm) in Shanghai traded at 3,440-3,460 yuan ($558-561)
per tonne, down 10 yuan ($2) per tonne from Tuesday.: SBB
Steel Prices in other countries
Scrap

Melting scrap from shipbreaking is now offered to mills in
western Turkey at $350-355/mt delivered to mill, up to $10/mt higher than last

prices have dropped to ¥30,000~¥30,500/ton- Yieh
Semis

Cash prices for the semi-finished product also
moved down, ending the week at $120-130 per tonne, compared with $125-145 per

Rebar prices retreated in April and May from a February high
of about $690 per ton ($34.50 per hundredweight), but appear to have struck
bottom this month at around $645 per ton ($32.25 per cwt), with prices varying

and Italy are now at €420-435 ($562-582) per tonne fob main Southern Europe
