Recently, Shandong Province released “Implementation Suggestions for Resolving Overcapacity”. According to the document, Shandong Province plans to slash steel capacity by over 10 million tonnes by the end of 2015. Besides, it aims to keep the capacity of steel within 50 million tonnes, cement capacity within 0.15 billion tonnes, electrolytic aluminium capacity within 4 million tonnes, sheet glass capacity within 0.1 billion weight cases and ship volume within 6 million deadweight tonnes by 2017.
