Steel Prices in China
Long products
- In Beijing, prices for grade III rebar were at 3,090-3,110 yuan ($500-504) per tonne, tightening downwards by 10 yuan ($2) per tonne from Tuesday's range – source: MB
- China-origin 6.5mm diameter SAE1008 boron-added wire rod was offered at $493-495/mt CFR Philippines last week, down from offers at $500/mt CFR the previous week. Manila-based sources said Chinese suppliers would probably accept a bid at $490/mt CFR – source: SBB

- China’s Taiyuan Iron & Steel Group (Tisco)’s latest ex-factory prices of Q235 HRC with thickness of 5.5mm are at RMB3,200/ton; that of Q235 HRC with thickness of 5.5mm is at RMB3,200/ton – source: Yieh

- Turkish long steelmaker Kardemir cuts its domestic prices of rebar by a further TRY 16/metric ton ($8) from May 23. Its new sales price for round bar is now at TRY 1,239/mt ($595) ex-works, while the company’s 12mm diameter rebar price went down to TRY 1,222/mt ($587) ex-works – source: SBB
