Steel Prices in China
Long steel
- The average price of 6.5mm Q235 high speed wire rod in China's major marketplaces fell 7 yuan per tonne to 3,195 yuan per tonne on Friday whilst that of 20mm HRB400 rebar inched down 3 yuan per tonne to 3,136 yuan per tonne – source: SteelHome

Flat steel
-On Friday, the average price of 2.75mm HRC in China market declined 3 yuan to 3,489 yuan per tonne while that of 1.0mm CRC dropped 1 yuan per tonne to 4,107 yuan per tonne – source: SteelHome
-The average price of 8mm medium plate in China reached 3,703 yuan per tonne on Friday, down3 yuan per tonne – source: SteelHome

Semis
-Steel First's weekly price assessment for billet imports into Turkey was $510-515 per tonne cfr, which was up from $505-510 per tonne cfr last week – source: MB
Bar/Wire rod
-The most recent export deals were heard selling into Dubai at $560 per tonne fob at the end of last week and earlier this week. However, mills have recently raised their offers to $570 per tonne fob – source: MB

-Market sources said US domestic mills had been offering sheet steel at $33-33.50 per cwt ($660-670 per ton) source: MB
