Scrap

-         U.S.?ˉs prime grade scrap that some anticipated to be under pressure this month due to increased supply also remained sideways. No. 1 busheling traded in the range of $400-405/lt delivered mill in the Midwest ¨C source: Platts

-         A steel mill in Iskenderun booked a European cargo, comprising 11,500 tonnes of HMS 1&2 (75:25) at $370 per tonne cfr, 4,000 tonnes of HMS 1 and 3,000 tonnes of shredded at $388 per tonne, and 5,000 tonnes of busheling at $393 per tonne cfr ¨C source: MB

-         The H2 scrap prices in Tokyo Bay region were at £¤31,500~32,000/ton, which was £¤500/ton lower than the prices in Kanto region ¨C source: Yieh

Bar/Wire rod

-         In Mexican, rebar selling at roughly Peso 8,700/mt ($656/mt) and wire rod at Peso 8,500/mt ¨C source: Platts

-         Steel First's price assessment for A500C 12mm rebar on Monday August 4 stood at 26,110-26,200 roubles ($730-732) per tonne cpt Moscow including VAT, on partial pre-payment terms, up from 26,000-26,140 roubles ($727-730) ) per tonne cpt in the previous week ¨C source: MB

 

 

HRC/P

-         The Platts HRC import price assessment for the US market is at $590-600/st CIF Houston ¨C source: Platts
