According to data released by Statistics Indonesia, Indonesia’s steel import
value totaled USD 566 million in August, dropping by 9.77% compared to the
previous week.
In August, the country’s import values generated by articles of iron and steel
totaled USD 338 million, decreasing by 0.59% from a month ago.
During the first eight months of this year, Indonesia’s steel import values
amounted to USD 5.55 billion, decreasing by 18.67% YoY.
In the given period of time, the country’s import values generated by articles
of iron and steel totaled USD 2.83 billion, dropping by 14.09% YoY.
