? Prices of 20# 50-130mm round billet sourced from Zenith Steel Group and Changqiang Iron & Steel – themajor producers in east China’s Jiangsu – fell by Yuan 100/metric ton ($16/mt) to Yuan 2,900/mt ($467/mt) andYuan 2,850/mt ($459/mt) ex-works including VAT respectively.- source: Platts
? Shagang trimmed its rebar ex-works prices for the January 11-20 period by Yuan 30/metric ton ($5/mt) on January11, making for the mill’s third straight cut since late December. Shagang’s price for 16-25mm diameter HRB400rebar therefore becomes Yuan 2,790/mt ($450/mt) including 17% VAT. Turkey’s major integrated long steelmaker, Kardemir maintained its rebar price at TRY 1,204/mt ex-works ($526) since December 19, while the country’s largest longs maker, Icdas, was offering 12-32mm diameter rebar at TRY 1,425/mt ex-works ($623), equivalent to $511/mt without 18% VAT, a price unchanged since mid-December.
The company’s 7-8.5 mm wire rod price also remained flat at TRY 1,450-1,480/mt ($634-647) ex-works, including 18% VAT. - source: Platts
