Vietnam's steel output growth may slow to 15 percent this year from an annual rise of 16.15 percent in 2014 as the country is facing competition from imported steel while production capacity has doubled demand, the Vietnam Economic Times newspaper reported, citing the Vietnam Steel Association.
Vietnam produced 12.06 million tonnes of steel last year, while domestic sales and exports of products plus imported steel rose 16.85 percent in the same period to 13.87 million tonnes, the report said.
