China Steel Corp. (CSC), the major blast furnace mill in Taiwan, said
the company’s orders for high quality steel product orders accounted
for around 50.57% of the total.
The company’s executive vice president expected the shipments for high
quality steel products will reach 6.2 million tons or over than 60% in
2015.
CSC's manager said it is not competitive for CSC to keep increasing its
capacity in steelmaking; thus, to increase more high value-add steel
products will be the best strategy for them.
Therefore, CSC will speed up its development in high quality steel products in 2015.
