Steel Prices in China
Long steel
- Billet prices in
Tangshan were at 1,970 yuan ($319) per tonne on Tuesday morning, unchanged from

Flat steel
- Platts assessed Q235 HRC 5.5mm thick
in Shanghai at Yuan 2,480-2,510/metric ton ($397-401/mt) with 17% VAT Monday, down Yuan 20/mt from Friday. - source: Platts
- Chinese offers for A36 grade plates
were around $410/mt CFR Mumbai, while South Korean offers for similar material were around $440/mt. - source: Platts
- Offers
for hot rolled coil (HRC) to India, mainly from China, have fallen by $20 to

Scrap
- Taiwanese import prices of 80:20 (in
container) were down $2/mt on-week at $223/mt CFR Taiwan port last Friday. - source: Steel First
- Turkish steelmaker Kardemir adjusted the
purchasing prices for P&S scraps are at TRY755/ton. Besides, the H1 scrap
prices were TRY745/ton. Meanwhile, the purchasing prices for HMS 70:30

- For March, Italian scrap prices are
expected to move down by €5-10/mt while northern European scrap levels are expected

Corp's (CSC) Al-killed wire rod is about NT$18,200~18,700/ton and electric

- Taiwan’s Feng Hsin Iron & Steel’s list
prices for rebar are at NT$14,500/ton. The prices for section steel will be

HRC/P
- The weekly average of last week’s
daily ASEAN import HRC SAE 1006 reference prices CFR port increased by $5/mt from the average of the previous

- Ukrainian and Russian HRC coil imports
now available for $380-390/mt FOB Black Sea. Ukrainian mills were offering HRC in
the range of $405-415/mt CFR Turkey, while Russian mills' latest offers were around
