It's reported that EU will impose anti-dumping duties later this months on imports of stainless steel cold rolled flat products from China and Taiwan at 25% and 12% respectively.
The Eurofer proposed a request on anti-dumping investigation in May 2014. Eurofer indicated that export of China's stainless steel cold rolled flat product to EU in 2013 reached €620 million, about approximately 17% of the total market volume, which has been constituted dumping and selling at unfairly low prices.
The European Commission will submit the proposal to the EU Members next week, and implement the tariff levied before March 26th. This is temporary measurement and will re-evaluate when upon the investigation result is released by the end of September.
Another relevant investigation on improper subsidies by Chinese manufacturers will also be completed by the end of September.
